DUBAI: Dubai rang in Eid Al Fitr 2025 with spectacular celebrations, going beyond the dazzling lights of the Burj Khalifa and the Clock Tower.
This year, the city has taken an extra step to spread joy, especially to travellers arriving at Dubai International Airport.
As part of the festivities, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) launched a special initiative to welcome visitors. GDRFA gifted 1,000 copies of To Be the First, the authorised biography of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to arriving travellers—offering them a unique insight into the visionary leadership of Dubai.
The initiative was unveiled during a field tour by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, who visited Dubai International Airport to oversee operations and ensure a smooth passenger experience. Al Marri also extended Eid greetings to passport control officers and staff, commending their dedication during the holiday rush.
With these thoughtful gestures, Dubai once again proves why it remains a global leader in hospitality and festive celebrations.
