Dubai:  The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to transform the travel landscape with a groundbreaking initiative from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP). The project integrates health insurance into the UAE tourist visa application process, promising greater convenience and peace of mind for visitors.

Visa and insurance

The combination will allow tourists to focus on enjoying their trip without the added hassle of securing health coverage. The ICP is developing an automated electronic platform to streamline the health insurance process. This system will offer a range of insurance packages from leading UAE providers, allowing tourists to select and purchase their preferred coverage directly through the ICP app or website.

Enhancing the visitor experience

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the ICP, emphasized the benefits of the new system, stating, "The project allows tourists to obtain health insurance electronically while applying for visas through our services system." This streamlined process is designed to create a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for visitors.

As the UAE continues to elevate its tourism offerings, this groundbreaking initiative demonstrates the country's commitment to providing exceptional service and care for its guests.
