CAIRO: Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has launched its Emirates World store in Egypt, expanding its immersive travel retail concept.

Located in the upscale 5A WaterWay in Cairo, the store promises an enhanced customer experience through innovative product displays, smart technologies, and personalised service from expert travel consultants.

The official inauguration was led by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre. The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador, Pilot Montaser Mana, Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, and Amr Kady, CEO of Egypt Tourism Authority, along with other esteemed guests, trade partners, and media representatives.

Revolutionising the retail experience

Marking Emirates’ 40th year of operations, Adnan Kazim highlighted Egypt’s pivotal role in the airline’s history. “Egypt was one of the first five destinations we launched at the very beginning, and we are proud to further enhance our offering with the inauguration of Emirates World in Cairo,” he said.

The Emirates World concept is designed to align with the airline’s ‘Fly Better’ philosophy, incorporating interactive displays, streamlined customer service, and hospitality-driven experiences. “We will continue rolling out Emirates World stores across Africa and our network to connect more deeply with customers at ground level,” Kazim added.

A bespoke travel hub

Spanning 332 square metres, the Emirates World Cairo store brings the airline’s signature inflight luxury to the heart of the city. The open-plan, lounge-style environment mirrors the aesthetics of Emirates’ premium cabins, featuring a full-size Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge experience and a First Class suite display.

Nine dedicated service counters offer a range of travel solutions, from itinerary planning and ticketing to general travel enquiries. Customers can also explore the airline’s destinations through smart interactive technologies, including a ‘selfie mirror’ that places them in scenic backdrops, and self-service kiosks designed for swift, hassle-free transactions.

Emirates in Egypt

Since launching its first flight to Cairo in 1986, Emirates has been a key player in Egypt’s aviation, tourism, and trade sectors. Over the past four decades, the airline has flown more than 10.6 million passengers to and from Cairo, currently operating four daily flights on the route.

Emirates’ footprint in Egypt extends beyond air travel. The airline has created employment opportunities for over 920 Egyptian nationals serving as cabin crew, ensuring that Egyptian hospitality is showcased to passengers worldwide.
