From the record-breaking displays in Abu Dhabi to the NYE fireworks and drone shows in Dubai and family-friendly events in Sharjah, the entire nation has come alive in a dazzling celebration of the year ahead.

Here’s a glimpse into how the UAE lights up for New Year’s Eve, promising unforgettable moments for residents and visitors alike.

Dubai ushered in the new year with dazzling fireworks across 36 locations, starting sharp at midnight. Drone shows added a futuristic touch, showcasing spectacular formations and lighting up the city’s skyline. The emirate reaffirmed its status as a global hub for unforgettable celebrations.

Sharjah welcomed 2025 with a vibrant 25-minute fireworks display across three destinations:

  • Al Majaz Waterfront: A five-minute spectacle that enchanted family audiences.
  • Al Heera Beach: A stunning 10-minute show over serene coastal views.
  • Khorfakkan Beach: A 10-minute display celebrating Sharjah’s maritime legacy.

Each location featured unique cultural activities, offering a festive experience for all age groups.

Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah once again captivated audiences with its record-breaking drone and fireworks displays, setting two new Guinness World Records.

The show featured:

  • Largest aerial display of a tree formed by multirotors/drones
  • Largest aerial image of a seashell formed by multirotors/drones

The event, themed "Our Story in the Sky," blended cutting-edge drone technology, lasers, and synchronised pyrotechnics to create breathtaking visuals celebrating the Emirate’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Spanning over five kilometres of scenic waterfront, the spectacle drew over 100,000 residents and visitors, cementing Ras Al Khaimah’s status as the UAE’s premier destination for record-breaking New Year celebrations.
