Dubai:  In celebration of International Coffee Day on October 1, Emirates reveals that its coffee-loving passengers consume over 170,000 kilograms of coffee each year. From onboard flights to lounges in 140 destinations, the airline offers a vast selection of artisan coffee, including its exclusive blend of Arabic coffee.

 Its signature Arabic coffee, crafted in partnership with artisan producer Mattina, features high-quality Arabica beans from Brazil, infused with cardamom from Guatemala and the world’s finest saffron.

This traditional Qahwa blend is a First Class favourite, available inflight and in Emirates’ exclusive lounges.

With different varieties of coffee, Emirates vows to provide the best coffee in town.

Onboard coffee options

Passengers in all classes can enjoy a wide variety of coffee.  Economy and Premium Economy travellers are offered coffee with their meals, while Business and First Class passengers can choose from a Lavazza menu that includes cappuccinos, espressos, and even affogato.

Emirates also spices up special occasions with custom drinks like the rose-kissed mocha.

Lounge coffee options 

The First Class Lounge boasts a dedicated coffee bar with rotating single-origin options, prepared by expert baristas. 

In Emirates’ seven premium lounges in Dubai, 5.1 million customers savor 26,000 kilograms of coffee each year. 

Trained crew

Emirates cabin crew undergo specialised training in coffee preparation, learning the nuances of different blends and how to craft the perfect cup.

Whether serving in Royal Doulton china for First Class or fine bone mugs in Business Class, the crew ensures every cup is flawless, down to the water quality used onboard.
