DUBAI: Hilton has announced the appointment of Alessandro Redaelli as Vice President of Operations for North Africa and Levant, a move that reinforces the company’s commitment to its expanding presence in the region.

Redaelli, a seasoned hospitality leader with over 30 years of experience, will be based in Cairo and oversee Hilton’s growing portfolio, which currently includes 35 hotels across seven brands.

With nearly 50 additional properties in the pipeline, his leadership comes at a pivotal moment for the company’s regional expansion.

Expanding Hilton’s presence

Redaelli’s appointment marks the establishment of a dedicated leadership role for North Africa and Levant, a strategic step in strengthening Hilton’s footprint in key markets. Guy Hutchinson, President, Middle East & Africa, highlighted the significance of this move, stating, “As we continue to expand across the Middle East & Africa, strong leadership remains key to delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving long-term success.” Hutchinson praised Redaelli’s extensive knowledge of the region and his ability to enhance Hilton’s operational excellence.

Redaelli is no stranger to Hilton, having started his career with the company in France. Over the years, he has held executive roles across Europe and the Middle East, most recently serving as General Manager of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, one of the UAE capital’s most renowned luxury hotels.

Ambitious growth plans

Hilton’s expansion strategy in North Africa and Levant includes a series of high-profile developments. The company recently announced plans to triple its presence in Egypt, introducing the Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands to the country for the first time. Additionally, Hilton aims to double its footprint in Morocco, with multiple new openings, including the debut of Waldorf Astoria in Rabat and new properties under the LXR Hotels & Resorts and Hampton by Hilton brands.

In Jordan, Hilton has strengthened its presence with the launch of Signia by Hilton Amman, marking the luxury brand’s debut in the EMEA region. The company also welcomed Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi to its expanding Egyptian portfolio.

Strategic leadership for growth

Under the leadership of Carlos Khneisser, Vice President, Development, Middle East & Africa, and Sam Diab, Managing Director, Development, North & East Africa, Hilton continues to advance its long-term vision in the region. Redaelli expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, saying, “It is an honour to take on this responsibility at such an exciting time.
