Colombo:  Sri Lanka is opening its doors wider with a new free-visa policy for tourists from 38 countries, including the UAE. Starting October 1, 2024, travellers will enjoy a 30-day free of charge visa upon arrival, making it easier than ever to explore the island’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty.

This move, announced by Sri Lanka’s Cabinet of Ministers, aims to boost tourism and make the island more accessible.

The free-visa policy means less hassle and more adventure. With simplified entry, you can focus on enjoying Sri Lanka’s charm without worrying about paperwork.

Travellers from these countries can enjoy a 30-day visa-free stay:

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UAE, UK, US.
