Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, is set to enhance its footprint in Asia with the introduction of three new destinations.

From 1 July 2025, the airline will commence daily non-stop flights to Shenzhen, China, while Da Nang, Vietnam, and Siem Reap, Cambodia, will be connected via Bangkok from 2 June and 3 June respectively.

The expansion will solidify Emirates’ position as the leading non-Asian airline operating in East Asia, with 269 flights per week to 24 destinations.

Shenzhen becomes the airline’s fourth gateway in mainland China, while Da Nang is Emirates’ third destination in Vietnam, and Siem Reap its second in Cambodia.

Emirates’ commitment to connectivity

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the airline’s focus on strengthening business and leisure travel across the region. “Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets,” he said.

Kazim also emphasised the significance of Vietnam’s growing economic ties with the UAE, particularly after the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Meanwhile, the launch of Siem Reap services will support Cambodia’s thriving tourism sector, giving travellers seamless access to Angkor Wat and other cultural attractions.

Emirates launches daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen from 1 July 2025.

Daily flights to Shenzhen

Emirates will become the first Middle Eastern airline to operate a daily service to Shenzhen, a major technology hub. The airline first established air links with mainland China in 2002, launching flights to Shanghai and later expanding to Beijing and Guangzhou.

The Shenzhen service is designed to optimise connections between key markets, including Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Flight EK328 will depart Dubai at 10:05 hrs, arriving in Shenzhen at 22:00 hrs. The return flight EK329 will leave Shenzhen at 23:55 hrs, landing in Dubai at 03:40 hrs the next day.

Premium aircraft and cargo expansion

Shenzhen will be served by the retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, featuring First Class private suites, Business Class lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy seating.

With its passenger and freighter operations, Emirates transports 2,000 tonnes of cargo per week from China. The Shenzhen route is expected to handle 10 tonnes of cargo per flight, supporting exports of high-tech products and e-commerce shipments.

The airline will also introduce four weekly services to Da Nang via Bangkok on 2 June.

Emirates will operate four weekly flights to Da Nang via Bangkok on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight EK370 will depart Dubai at 09:00 hrs, arriving in Bangkok at 18:25 hrs, before reaching Da Nang at 21:50 hrs. The return flight EK371 will depart Da Nang at 23:30 hrs, stopping in Bangkok at 01:10 hrs, before landing in Dubai at 06:50 hrs.

The airline’s three weekly flights to Siem Reap will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight EK370 will leave Dubai at 09:00 hrs, arriving in Bangkok at 18:25 hrs, and departing for Siem Reap at 20:10 hrs, arriving at 21:30 hrs. The return leg EK371 will depart Siem Reap at 23:50 hrs, with a stop in Bangkok at 01:10 hrs, before arriving in Dubai at 06:50 hrs.

Enhanced passenger experience

Both Da Nang and Siem Reap flights will operate with the Boeing 777-300ER, featuring 35 Business Class seats and 386 Economy Class seats. Passengers connecting via Bangkok can access Emirates’ premium lounge for a comfortable travel experience.

Travellers on these flights will enjoy Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice, offering over 6,500 channels in multiple languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, and Khmer.

Emirates’ strong interline and codeshare agreements provide extensive multi-city travel options through Bangkok. The airline offers convenient connectivity to major European cities like London, Paris, and Milan, as well as New York and Los Angeles in the United States.
