DUBAI: As temperatures begin to rise, some of Dubai's most popular outdoor attractions are preparing to close for the summer season.

From mesmerising fountain shows to lush floral displays and thrilling safari experiences, these attractions are among the city's most visited spots.

With closure dates fast approaching, now is the last opportunity to visit these seasonal favourites before they shut down for the hotter months.

Dubai Fountain

One of Dubai's most iconic attractions, the Dubai Fountain, located between the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, will not be closing for the summer but for essential maintenance and upgrades. This world-famous choreographed fountain system, known for its water jets shooting up to 150 metres in the air, will have its final performance on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

According to Emaar, the renovation project will enhance the fountain's visual and musical experience with improved technology and an upgraded lighting and sound system. The restoration work is scheduled to begin in May, with the fountain expected to return in October.

Global Village

A seasonal favourite for residents and tourists alike, Global Village will officially close its doors for its 29th season on Sunday, May 11, 2025. This multicultural attraction features pavilions from over 90 countries, a variety of international cuisine options, thrilling rides, and live entertainment.

Opening hours:

  • Sunday – Wednesday: 4PM – 12AM
  • Thursday – Saturday: 4PM – 1AM

Tuesdays (except public holidays) are exclusively for families and ladies.

Ticket prices:

  • Dh25 per person (weekday entry)
  • Dh30 per person (any day entry)
  • Free entry for children under three, seniors over 65, and People of Determination.

Dubai Miracle Garden

The Dubai Miracle Garden, home to more than 150 million flowers arranged in stunning designs, is expected to close in June 2025, although an exact date has not been announced.

Spanning 72,000 square metres, the garden is a visual spectacle featuring flower-covered sculptures, tunnels, and designs, including the Guinness World Record-holding Airbus A380 floral installation. The attraction, currently in its 13th season, typically closes for summer due to the extreme heat affecting its delicate floral displays.

A 40 percent discount is available for UAE residents with an Emirates ID at the ticket counter.

Dubai Garden Glow

Back for its 10th season, Dubai Garden Glow is known for its illuminated artistic displays and dinosaur park. The exact closing date has not yet been revealed, but it usually shuts down during the summer.

The park features five unique zones, including glow-in-the-dark installations, a dinosaur park with animatronic creatures, and an art park with 3D illusions. It remains a popular attraction for families and visitors looking for a dazzling visual experience.

Ticket price: Dh78.75 (includes access to Dinosaur Park)

  • Sunday – Friday: 5pm – 11pm
  • Saturday and public holidays: 5PM – 12AM

Dubai Safari Park

Home to more than 3,000 animals, Dubai Safari Park will soon shut down for summer, though the official closing date has not been announced. The park's website currently only offers bookings until Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Covering 119 hectares, Dubai Safari Park features animals from across the globe, including 78 mammal species, 50 reptile species, and 111 types of birds. It is divided into themed zones, including the Arabian Desert Safari, African Village, and Asian Village, providing a unique wildlife experience in the heart of the UAE.

  • Dh20 (children aged 3-12)

Opening hours:

  • Daily from 9AM – 6PM (last entry at 5PM)

Hatta Wadi Hub

Adventure seekers looking for kayaking, mountain biking, ziplining, and the Hatta Drop-in water slide should plan a trip to Hatta Wadi Hub before it closes. While an official closing date has not been announced, the park warns visitors that it may shut down between May and September.

This outdoor adventure destination, located in the Hajar Mountains, offers activities for all skill levels and is a favourite for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.
