DUBAI: The Dubai Press Club (DPC) has launched the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’, a new media training initiative designed to equip emerging talent and content creators with advanced skills for impactful digital content creation. 

Developed in collaboration with prominent media organisations and academic institutions, the initiative leverages diverse expertise to drive innovation in content creation. Partners include CNBC Arabia, Dubai Media, blinx, Murdoch University, American University in Dubai, Edraak Media Academy, Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting, and Argaam.

This partnership fosters a unique environment for skill-building in specialised media, aligning with DPC's commitment to nurturing emerging media talent both locally and regionally.

Mona Al Marri, President of the Dubai Press Club, noted that the programme reflects Dubai's commitment to developing regional media capabilities and strengthening the skillsets of emerging media talent and content creators to produce high-quality digital content across various fields.

She expressed her appreciation for the collaboration between DPC and the UAE Ministry of Economy, highlighting the launch of the programme’s first phase, the ‘Economic Content Creators Programme’, as a pivotal step towards supporting content creators in delivering engaging economic content.

Economic Content Creators Programme

As part of its initial phase, the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’ is introducing the ‘Economic Content Creators Programme’, organised in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy and leading financial media institutions. This phase aims to strengthen economic literacy in digital media, focusing on recent economic reporting trends.

The UAE’s Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, underscored the significance of establishing a strong legislative and regulatory media framework, along with specialised zones featuring advanced infrastructure. This, he said, reinforces the UAE’s position as a media hub that champions innovation, supporting the nation’s evolving economic model centred on knowledge, technology, and innovation.

“The collaboration with Dubai Press Club aligns with the Ministry of Economy's vision on the importance of continued dialogue and building fruitful partnerships with media and press institutions in the country,” said Al Marri. He highlighted the programme’s role in enhancing the quality of business media and equipping content creators to provide in-depth analysis of economic events.

Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of Dubai Press Club, announced that the first phase of the programme, the ‘Economic Content Creators Programme’, will begin in December. “This programme addresses the challenges that specialised content creators encounter in key sectors across the Arab world. Developed in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, the programme is tailored for emerging media talent and content creators specialising in economic subjects, equipping them to produce high-quality content that incorporates the latest technological innovations in the industry,” she said.

Comprehensive Training

The ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’ delivers comprehensive training to bolster participants’ storytelling, creative writing, and audience engagement skills. Attendees will learn techniques for designing content that resonates across digital platforms, and strategies for assessing audience impact.

The programme further provides training in multimedia production, focusing on video, audio, and visual design, alongside infographics, to deliver clearer and more engaging content.

Through a strong focus on creative content production, the programme enables content creators to develop original, impactful material that aligns with audience expectations. This segment also includes training in research and analysis methods, which enhance the accuracy and credibility of content by teaching participants to gather information from varied sources.

By fostering collaboration among local and international content creators, the programme supports Dubai’s ambitions to become a global hub for media innovation. Participants benefit from diverse insights, enabling the exchange of ideas that drives creativity and supports the digital media industry’s growth in the region.

Who can Apply

The programme welcomes applications from UAE citizens and residents aged between 20 and 45 who have a foundational understanding of digital platforms and are fluent in both Arabic and English.

Selected participants will be required to adhere to the programme’s schedule and attend in-person training workshops.
