JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education has announced the opening of 10,494 teaching positions for the 1447 academic year.
The move aims to address staffing needs across public education departments, ensuring schools have qualified educators in key disciplines.
The hiring process follows the spatial contracting system and will be conducted through the Jadarat national employment platform.
Applications for male candidates will open on Friday, March 7, 2025 (7 Ramadan 1446) and close on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 (12 Ramadan 1446). Female applicants can submit their applications from Friday, March 14, 2025 (14 Ramadan 1446) until Wednesday, March 19, 2025 (19 Ramadan 1446).
Selection criteria
All candidates must meet eligibility requirements and pass evaluation criteria set by the civil service’s human resources framework. The available roles fall under the "practicing teacher" rank, with recruitment focused on critical subject areas.
The selection process is based on a weighted evaluation system:
- Cumulative GPA (10%)
- Graduation seniority (10%)
- General professional teaching licence exam score (30%)
- Subject-specific teaching licence exam score (50%)
Key dates
The initial list of selected candidates will be announced on Sunday, March 23, 2025 (23 Ramadan 1446). In-person interviews and document verification will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 (1 Dhu Al Qi’dah 1446) at designated education department offices. The final selection of candidates will be confirmed on Sunday, July 27, 2025 (2 Safar 1447).
Training requirement
Successful candidates must complete mandatory training through the National Institute for Educational Professional Development before assuming their roles.
