Dubai: Dubai is gearing up for an energizing month as the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) returns for 2024, promising an invigorating series of events from October 26 to November 24. This year’s challenge will feature direct and exciting fitness activities designed to inspire both residents and visitors to commit to a healthier lifestyle.
With a lineup that includes the popular Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, the challenge is set to engage over 2.4 million participants in a city-wide celebration of health and community spirit.
Last year’s challenge was a tremendous success, with over 2.4 million participants, including more than 35,000 cyclists and over 226,000 runners. This year's events will cater to all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, fostering community spirit and promoting well-being.
About the Dubai fitness challenge
Launched in 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at promoting an active lifestyle and reinforcing Dubai's status as a leading global fitness hub.
This annual event encourages participants to engage in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day for a month, extending the benefits of the challenge well beyond the event itself.
Exciting events and activities
This year's lineups include Dubai Stand-Up Paddle, which is on Saturday, 2 November; Dubai Ride on Sunday, 10 November; and Dubai Run, DFC 2024’s grand finale on Sunday, 24 November.
