The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again claimed the top position as the world’s most powerful passport, according to the latest Passport Index by Arton Capital.

UAE passport holders now enjoy visa-free access to an impressive 180 destinations, solidifying the nation’s leadership in global mobility. This milestone reflects the UAE’s diplomatic efforts and commitment to strengthening international relations.

Of the 180 destinations, 127 allow visa-free entry, while 53 offer visa-on-arrival or eVisa options. Only 18 countries worldwide still require pre-approved visas, making travel exceptionally hassle-free for Emiratis.

UAE leads with 180 destinations, followed by Spain, France, Germany, and 12 others in close ranks.

Top 5 Passports Worldwide

The UAE leads with 180 accessible destinations, followed by Spain with 179. France, Germany, and 12 other nations share the third spot with 178 countries. Sweden, Poland, and Hungary rank fourth with 177 destinations, while South Korea and the Czech Republic round out the top five, granting entry to 176 countries.

10-year passports: Convenience redefined

In another progressive step, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has introduced passports with a 10-year validity for citizens aged 21 and older. This initiative not only reduces renewal frequency but also aligns with the government’s vision to streamline services and enhance citizen satisfaction.

The 10-year passport is particularly advantageous, enabling Emiratis to travel with greater ease while contributing to administrative efficiency.

The UAE’s enhanced mobility score comes amidst its celebration of the 53rd National Day, now known as Eid Al Etihad.
