Dubai:  For Emirates, World Chocolate Day on July 7th isn't just a celebration – it's a testament to their dedication to offering a luxurious travel experience, with chocolate being a key player. Last year alone, passengers across all classes devoured a whopping 45 million pieces of gourmet chocolate!

Artisan chocolates

Emirates treats its passengers to artisan chocolates as part of their signature meal service, no matter where they're flying to among their 140 global destinations.

Economy Class passengers enjoyed the most chocolates last year, indulging in 36.3 million pieces.

The newly launched Premium Economy Class isn't far behind, with passengers savoring 322,000 chocolates.

Business Class offered 8.2 million chocolates, while First Class passengers, with access to unlimited chocolates and the option to take some home, relished 122,000 large gourmet chocolate boxes.

Valrhona: The Current Star

Emirates keeps rotating its offerings every 3 months to keep frequent flyers surprised and delighted. Currently gracing the skies is the prestigious French chocolatier Valrhona.

Established in 1922, Valrhona is known for its exceptional quality, ethical sourcing, and commitment to environmental responsibility.

For Emirates First Class passengers, Valrhona has created a bespoke luxury chocolate box offered after meals.

Emirates regular rotation features globally recognized brands like Bateel, Coco Jalila, and Forrey & Galland from the UAE; Butlers from Ireland; Godiva, Canonica, and Neuhaus from Belgium; Pacari from Ecuador; and Hotel Chocolat from the UK.

These selections are carefully curated based on factors like chocolate type (dark, milk, white), fillings, taste, texture, brand recognition, and sustainable sourcing practices.

Chocolate Delights Beyond the Box

Emirates offers a variety of chocolate desserts and hot chocolate across all classes.

First Class passengers can indulge in creations like chocolate mousse with passionfruit, delicate white chocolate tart, or a vegan chocolate pecan cake.

The newly introduced Emirates First Class dessert trolley elevates the experience even further with Valrhona Grand Cru chocolate truffles, chocolate-coated madeleines, and exquisite desserts like a crunchy milk chocolate cake with hazelnut praline, and a luscious roasted banana, chocolate, and caramel cake.
