Dubai Ride 2024 is set to captivate cyclists of all ages on Sunday (November 10), with a series of spectacular car-free routes, allowing participants to explore Dubai’s most iconic sites on two wheels.

Presented by DP World, this highly anticipated event is a central feature of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) and will once again transform Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown Dubai into scenic, cyclist-only tracks for the day.

Following last year’s record-breaking turnout of over 35,000 participants, this year’s Dubai Ride promises to be even bigger. Cyclists can choose from three different routes, each offering a unique experience.

“The enthusiasm we see for this event each year is incredible,” said DP World’s spokesperson. “Dubai Ride is more than a ride; it’s an opportunity to see our city in a way like never before.”

Choose between a scenic 4km Downtown route, the iconic 12km on Sheikh Zayed Road, and the exhilarating new addition – Dubai Ride Speed Laps.

Dubai Ride 2024 routes

Dubai Ride 2024 offers a choice between two main routes, tailored for riders of varying experience levels:

Downtown 4km Route: Ideal for families and recreational cyclists, the 4km Downtown route will begin at Dubai Mall at 6:15 AM, taking riders through Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Cyclists on this scenic route can enjoy views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera in a safe, relaxed setting.

Sheikh Zayed Road 12km Route: For more seasoned cyclists, the 12km route along Sheikh Zayed Road begins at Dubai World Trade Centre and ends at Safa Park. Riders will pass landmarks like the Museum of the Future, Dubai Canal, and Burj Khalifa. This route will feature five convenient start locations, including the Coca-Cola Arena, Al Satwa, and Business Bay.

Speed Laps details

A thrilling new addition this year, Dubai Ride Speed Laps invites experienced riders to a high-speed lap along Sheikh Zayed Road from 5 AM to 6 AM. Cyclists must maintain a 30km/h pace and possess peloton riding experience. Open to cyclists over 21, Speed Laps provides an adrenaline-fuelled challenge, and riders are encouraged to join friends and family on the main routes afterward.

For a smooth experience, Decathlon will set up repair stations along all routes, offering quick fixes for riders as needed. Additionally, free pre-event bike repairs are available at Decathlon stores across Dubai for registered participants.

Registration is free but limited, with sign-ups available on the official website until November 9 (Saturday).

How to Register

Registration is free, and spaces are limited. Participants can sign up at the official website, and the deadline for registration is 9 November. Registrants will receive a QR code required for bib collection, which can be done at the Dubai Municipality Zabeel Park 30 x 30 Fitness Village.

Bib collection is open from 4 PM to 11 PM on weekdays, with extended hours on Fridays and weekends. Cyclists are reminded to bring their bibs, helmets, water bottles, and their bikes for a safe ride on event day.
