Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launches first flight to Chisinau
National airline expands winter schedule with 40% increased frequencies
ABU DHABI: Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the UAE's national ultra-low-fare airline, has launched its first flight to Chisinau, Moldova’s captivating capital.
This new thrice-weekly service on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays connects Abu Dhabi with Chisinau, opening an accessible, budget-friendly route for travellers and reinforcing Wizz Air’s commitment to affordable point-to-point travel.
Tickets for this service start from as low as AED 309, available for booking on wizzair.com and through the WIZZ mobile app in Arabic.
The inauguration of this route is part of Wizz Air’s expanded winter schedule, which increases flight frequencies by 40% to the airline’s most popular winter destinations.
“We are delighted to inaugurate our first flight to Chisinau, an affordable city of spectacular natural beauty and incredible history, as we reaffirm our commitment to growing our ever-expanding network throughout the region,” said Tamara Vallois, Head of Commercial at Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. She highlighted the airline's mission to offer ultra-low fares for budget-conscious travellers, emphasising Wizz Air’s “commitment to carrying the flag of ultra-low-cost travel.”

New Winter Schedule
In line with its route expansion, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s enhanced winter schedule increases frequencies on key routes. “Our enhanced winter schedule will enable travellers from all backgrounds to benefit from our incredibly low fares with a convenient and tailored product,” Vallois added. Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH), in collaboration with Wizz Air, has been recognised as the fastest-growing airport in the Middle East for international seat capacity.
Nathalie Jongma, VP of Aviation Development at Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed enthusiasm for the growth of AUH, stating, “Our first year at Zayed International Airport has exceeded expectations, thanks to the strong support of airline partners like Wizz Air.”

In addition, with WIZZ Flex, passengers can alter flights up to three hours before departure without fees, receiving 100% reimbursement in airline credits.
