Pakistanis in Dubai host UAE's biggest tape ball cricket event with Dh7,000 prize
12 teams battle for mega prizes in a two-day family extravaganza in Ajman
DUBAI: The eighth season of the PID Tape Ball Cricket Tournament, organised by Pakistanis in Dubai (PID), is set to take place on December 7-8 at the Seven District Ground in Ajman.
This exciting two-day event will feature 12 teams competing for a prize pool exceeding PKR 700,000, marking the largest tape ball cricket competition in the UAE for 2024.
Cricket and Community
The tournament, consisting of seven-over matches, is more than just a sporting competition—it’s a community celebration that brings together expatriate Pakistanis. In addition to the cricket action, the event will feature a family carnival with food stalls, children's magic shows, and numerous prizes, making it an ideal outing for all ages.
Hameed Paracha, CEO of SK Shipping and title sponsor of the event, stressed the importance of supporting young talent. "Cricket promotes teamwork and discipline, and by supporting players, we help them succeed on the international stage and bring pride to Pakistan," he said.
