DUBAI: The UAE SWAT Challenge has officially set a new Guinness World Record, marking its sixth edition as the world’s largest event of its kind.
Hosted by Dubai Police, the 2025 competition saw an unprecedented participation of 46 nations, surpassing the required 45-country threshold to earn a place in the prestigious record books.
The achievement reflects the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, who visited the event at the Al Ruwayyah Training City.
‘Challenge Shield’
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was presented with the ‘Challenge Shield’ by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
The official Guinness World Records certificate was also handed over, solidifying Dubai’s reputation for hosting world-class international competitions.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Hanan Spears confirmed the historic accomplishment, stating, “We are here today to adjudicate a new world record attempt for the largest number of countries participating in a SWAT challenge. This is an official Guinness World Record with 46 nations, surpassing the required threshold.”
She further acknowledged Dubai Police’s commitment to excellence, adding, “After thoroughly reviewing the attempt, I am pleased to confirm that all guidelines and requirements set by Guinness World Records have been met. Congratulations on this incredible achievement.”
UAE SWAT Challenge 2025
Organised by the UAE Ministry of Interior and hosted by Dubai Police, the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 features 105 elite teams competing across five demanding challenges. The event tests tactical teams’ endurance, precision, teamwork, and operational skills under intense conditions.
High-ranking officers and SWAT leaders from the participating nations attended the opening ceremony, witnessing a display of cutting-edge tactics and techniques used in law enforcement operations worldwide.
