Dubai Fashion Week 2025 has concluded on a high note as celebrated Indian designer Manish Malhotra presented his latest collection, World Collection: Dubai, yesterday.
The show blended modern and traditional aesthetics, drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern and global fashion trends.
Russian model Valery Kaufman opened the show, setting the stage for a breathtaking display of opulent craftsmanship.
But it was supermodel Adriana Lima who stole the spotlight as she graced the runway in a shimmering grey column gown, adorned with pearl detailing – a tribute to the UAE’s pearl-diving heritage. She closed the show with an elegant bow and a graceful Namaste to Malhotra, creating a memorable moment.
A blend of cultures
Departing from his signature bridal couture, Malhotra embraced contemporary silhouettes, including capes, power blazers, and floor-length jackets. The collection featured a rich palette of gold, silver, monochrome hues, and the Pantone Colour of the Year – Mocha Mousse. Shimmering sequins, intricate embroidery, and structured drapes created a fusion of tradition and modernity.
The runway also saw Indian supermodels Deepti Gujral, Candice Pinto, and Lakshmi Rana dazzling in bold, structured silhouettes, exuding power and confidence. Each model sparkled in Malhotra’s signature high jewellery, with statement brooches, regal haathphools, and bold necklaces elevating the ensembles.
Bollywood in the front row
The show was not just about fashion – it was a spectacle of glamour and star power. The front row was packed with Bollywood A-listers, including filmmaker Karan Johar, actors Sanjay Dutt, Vijay Varma, Malaika Arora, Urmila Matondkar, and Rasha Thadani.
Malaika Arora made heads turn in a striking red sequined fishtail gown, perfectly contrasting the silver and black ensembles that dominated the evening.
