Dubai:  Dubai has found a brilliant solution to its sweltering summer heat, night beaches. Floodlights illuminate the coast, lifeguards equipped with night-vision binoculars keep watch, and AI systems add an extra layer of safety.

Since launching, over a million people have flocked to these late-night beach escapes, highlighted by KT and MSN.

Beach fun after dark

With daytime temperatures hitting 40°C (104°F), Dubai’s residents now prefer the beach after sundown. “It’s amazing once the sun sets,” says Mohammed, a father enjoying the cooler evening air with his kids quoted by MSN.

The city’s 800 meters of floodlit beach are packed with families looking to beat the heat without the scorching sun.

The new nightlife

Even at midnight, with temps still above 30°C (86°F), the beach is buzzing. “It’s like taking a bath,” says Belarusian fitness coach Mary Bayarka, quoted by MSN. For many expats like Filipina saleswoman Laya Manko, the night beach is the perfect weekend getaway. “Sometimes we even sleep here, it's the best stress relief.”
