Qatar Airways has categorically denied reports circulating in local media about shutting down its offices in Pakistan.

The airline confirmed that all flights and office operations remain unaffected, calling the rumours baseless.

Qatar Airways took to its official social media platform X on Wednesday, emphasising, “Our flight schedules remain unaffected, and there has been no such shutdown.”

The airline reassured customers that its services in Pakistan continue to operate seamlessly.

The clarification comes after several news outlets claimed the airline was implementing cost-cutting measures by closing its offices in major cities, impacting departments such as counter sales and finance.

Qatar Airways’ performance

Interestingly, these claims surfaced just as Qatar Airways announced resuming flights to Damascus after a 13-year hiatus. The airline hailed it as a “significant step in reconnecting the region.”

Furthermore, Qatar Airways posted impressive financial results last year, with a 39 percent surge in annual net profit to 6.1 billion Qatari riyals ($1.67 billion) and revenue growth of 6 percent. The airline transported over 40 million passengers, boasting an 83 percent load factor.
