Who can apply?

Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old (35 for some countries like the UK and Canada).

Nationality: You must hold a passport from a country with a working holiday agreement with New Zealand. Eligible countries include Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, and several others.

Health and Character: You must meet New Zealand’s health and character requirements. 

Funds: You need to show that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in New Zealand. Typically, this means having at least NZD 4,200 in your bank account.

No dependents: You cannot bring dependent children with you on this visa.

Insurance: It’s highly recommended to have full medical insurance for the duration of your stay.

Six steps to apply 

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

Step 2: Create account

To apply, you will need to create an online account with Immigration New Zealand (INZ – https://www.immigration.govt.nz/formshelp/skilled-migrant/online-services-login). This account will allow you to complete and submit your visa application by pressing apply now button on above given url.

Step 3: Fill out the application form

Once your account is set up, you can start filling out the online visa application form. 

Step 4: Upload required documents

You will need to gather several documents to support your application.

Step 5: Pay the application fee

The New Zealand Working Holiday Visa application fee varies depending on your nationality but is generally around NZD 280. You can pay this fee online using a credit or debit card. 

Step 6: Submit your application 

After you are have filled out the form, uploaded your documents, and paid the fee, review your application carefully before submitting it. On average, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to receive a decision.
