DUBAI: US tech giant Apple has kicked off an ambitious hiring campaign across the United Arab Emirates, listing 19 new job openings as of April 2025 on its official careers portal.
These roles span multiple categories, including customer service, retail leadership, business solutions, and corporate functions. The move is part of the tech giant’s broader regional expansion, which includes aggressive recruitment activity in Saudi Arabia as well.
The UAE roles are based at several major retail locations including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Yas Mall, and Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. Candidates are invited to apply online, with positions open to both experienced professionals and tech-savvy individuals eager to grow within Apple’s globally renowned brand.
Retail and corporate roles
The UAE job listings include frontline retail roles such as UAE-Creative, UAE-Genius, UAE-Operations Expert, Specialist, and Technical Specialist. These roles emphasise a mix of product knowledge, interpersonal skills, and adaptability. For example, Creative employees must deliver hands-on educational sessions, while Genius staff are expected to resolve technical problems with composure and customer focus.
Other roles, like Business Expert and Business Pro, target applicants with experience in business solution sales and Apple product integration for corporate clients. These positions require strong communication abilities and a proven sales track record, particularly in the SMB (small and medium-sized business) space.
Apple is also hiring for leadership roles, including UAE-Manager at Dubai Mall and Commercial Country Manager for its Apple Store Online business in the Middle East. Corporate-focused positions based in Dubai include Finance Business Partner – Distribution RTM, Product Compliance Manager, Product Marketing Manager, and Apple Pay E-Commerce Business Development Manager.
Expansion in Saudi Arabia
Parallel to its UAE recruitment push, Apple has also posted a wide range of openings across Saudi Arabia. The company is seeking professionals in areas such as store leadership, marketing, legal, technical operations, and business development. This follows Apple's announcement of its first official online store in Saudi Arabia, scheduled to launch in mid-2025, with brick-and-mortar Apple Store locations expected to follow from 2026.
The Saudi recruitment includes key roles to support this rollout and future expansion. Apple’s commitment to the Kingdom has been underscored by its Dh9.8 billion (SAR 10 billion) spend with local companies over the past five years. The goal is to create employment, boost entrepreneurship, and introduce advanced technologies to Saudi consumers and businesses.
Apple’s growth in Gulf region
Apple’s continued hiring across the Gulf reflects a deliberate strategy to deepen its footprint in the Middle East. In December 2024, Apple CEO Tim Cook described the UAE as a vibrant hub of innovation and creativity. The company is preparing to open a fifth retail store in Al Ain, demonstrating long-term commitment to the Emirates.
Recruitment activity is particularly strong in retail functions, where Apple is keen to enhance the customer experience through highly trained and passionate employees. The UAE and Saudi Arabia stand at the centre of Apple’s regional operations, each offering distinct markets and growth opportunities.
The broader hiring momentum also comes amid global trade shifts, with Apple and other US-based firms navigating evolving tariff environments. Production costs continue to be impacted by supply chain dynamics and proposed reshoring initiatives in the United States. Apple supplier Luxshare has indicated ongoing evaluations around shifting production outside China, although most of Apple’s product assembly remains anchored in Asia for now.
How to apply
Interested candidates in the UAE and Saudi Arabia can apply directly through Apple’s careers website. Applicants are required to meet specific experience and skills criteria, which vary by role. Fluency in English is typically essential, and knowledge of Arabic or other languages is considered a plus.
Apple seeks flexible individuals who can adapt to dynamic schedules and uphold the company’s high standards for innovation, customer service, and collaboration. Each role includes a detailed description of duties and desired qualifications. Successful candidates will join a globally respected workplace culture with strong opportunities for growth, training, and internal mobility.
