DUBAI: The 26th edition of Intersec 2025, the world’s largest exhibition for security, safety, and fire protection, opened its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre today.

The event, which runs until 16 January, has attracted 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries and expects over 52,000 visitors from more than 140 nations – a 10% increase in attendance compared to the previous year.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event highlights the latest technological advancements in the security industry, including AI, IoT, and blockchain, which are reshaping global safety protocols.

Under the banner of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), eight Pakistani companies are participating in the event to showcase innovative solutions in fire safety, surveillance, and disaster management.

The Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated by Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, alongside Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor.

Speaking at the opening, Hussain Muhammad stated, “Participation in global exhibitions like Intersec underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fostering trade ties and showcasing its capabilities in the safety sector. The event provides an ideal opportunity for Pakistani companies to explore the world market and make business connections.”

The participating companies expressed satisfaction with the event’s arrangements, recognising the platform as a gateway to expanding their reach in the UAE and GCC markets.

During his visit, Consul General Hussain Muhammad emphasised Intersec's role in fostering Pakistan’s global trade opportunities.

Safety & Security

Intersec 2025 has garnered robust support from key organisations, including the Security Industry Regulation Agency (SIRA), Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, Dubai Civil Defence, and the Dubai Cyber Security Council. This year’s edition also highlights an increased focus on cybersecurity, with experts addressing emerging threats and strategies in dedicated panel discussions.

Innovations & Opportunities

The exhibition showcases cutting-edge products ranging from intelligent surveillance systems to state-of-the-art fire protection technology, reflecting the evolving dynamics of the market. With a legacy spanning 25 years, Intersec continues to serve as the leading hub where industry leaders, government officials, and innovators converge to explore future opportunities.

As the event unfolds, Pakistani exhibitors aim to leverage their presence to build long-term partnerships, expand trade networks, and contribute to the global dialogue on safety and security advancements.
