Dubai: Physics Wallah (PW), the leading Indian EdTech unicorn, has achieved a remarkable fourfold growth in the UAE market since its debut in 2023. Operating under the name PW Gulf, the company has solidified its position as a significant player in the region’s education sector and is poised for further expansion.
Founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, Physics Wallah is a major EdTech company based in Noida, India.
Originally a YouTube channel launched in 2014, PW has grown to offer extensive online, offline, and hybrid educational services, reaching over 4.6 crore students across India. With recent expansion into the UAE, PW continues to drive innovation in education.
Growing presence in the Gulf
PW Gulf is committed to supporting Indian students in the Gulf as they transition to higher education in India after completing their 12th grade.
Since entering the UAE through a strategic partnership with Knowledge Planet, PW Gulf has established the largest offline learning network in the region. With 12 centers dedicated to CBSE, NEET, and JEE preparation, spread across Dubai (7), Sharjah (3), and Abu Dhabi (2).
PW Gulf serves over 7,000 students throughout the GCC.
Expansion plans and new offerings
PW Gulf plans to broaden its educational offerings to include curricula tailored for British, American, and National systems. The company is also introducing School Integrated Programs (SIPs), allowing schools to partner with PW to offer competitive coaching on their campuses. Additionally, PW Gulf aims to expand into new areas such as Coding, AI, and upskilling to meet a broader range of student needs.
Innovative educational initiatives
Among its new initiatives, PW Gulf has launched the Gulf Champions League (GCL), a scholarship test designed for CBSE students to evaluate their competition and receive targeted support. The company emphasizes a hybrid learning model, combining online and offline education to enhance student outcomes and provide personalized learning experiences.
