Dubai:  Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport resumed its operations on Sunday after being forced to close its airspace due to an overnight attack by Iranian missiles and drones. The attack had also caused flight cancellations in Jerusalem. Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon, which had closed their airspace on Saturday, reopened it on Sunday.

However, flight schedules from Tel Aviv may be affected, and travellers are advised to check their flight times before heading to the airport. The flag carrier, El Al, has resumed operations and is working to stabilize its flight schedule as soon as possible.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, on the other hand, cancelled its flights to Jordan and Israel on Sunday, according to a statement released by the airline.

The incident has disrupted the region's air travel, but authorities are working to restore normalcy.
