Pakistani National Emerges Victorious in RAK Biggest Weight Loss Challenge 2024, Shedding Remarkable 30.2 Kgs
Indian expatriates claim all three top spots in the Physical category Female
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE - March 15, 2024 - Ras Al Khaimah Hospital (RAK Hospital) is thrilled to announce the triumphant conclusion of the highly anticipated RAK Biggest Weight Loss Challenge 2024. As a cornerstone of its annual corporate social responsibility initiative, RAK Hospital, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention Ras Al Khaimah, hosted this transformative event to promote health and wellness within the community.
The 4th edition of this 12-week nationwide campaign witnessed an overwhelming response. An astounding 18,000 participants across the UAE demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to their health journey. Notably, over half of the participants hailed from Ras Al Khaimah, underscoring the local community's sincere dedication to embracing healthier lifestyles.
The pinnacle of the event was the awards ceremony held at RAK Hospital, where 24 individual winners, one corporate champion, and two school champions (Teacher and Staff category and Children BMI) were celebrated for their remarkable achievements. On average, participants shed an impressive 9 kgs each, signifying significant strides towards improved health and well-being.
Cash prizes awaited the top three winners in both the Male and Female physical categories, while winners in the virtual category, as well as percentage weight-loss champions, were rewarded with luxurious 5-star staycations, gym memberships, Swiss executive health checks and Genetic Testing vouchers, and other enticing prizes.
Mr Khalid Abdulla Mohammed AlShehhi, Director of the Representative Office, Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) – Ras Al Khaimah, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the ceremony with his presence.
Standout winners included Anwer Ali, who won in the Physical Category Male, and Muhsina Kalisam, who emerged triumphant in the Physical Category Female. Their exceptional accomplishments inspire dedication and perseverance in pursuing a healthier lifestyle.

The Corporate Team Challenge saw RAK College of Dental Sciences emerge as champions, while The Ideal English School excelled in both the School Staff and Child BMI Categories.
