A groundbreaking advancement in real estate technology has propelled a Portuguese brokerage firm to unprecedented success.

Porta da Frente Christie’s, a leading real estate company in Portugal, has generated $100 million in sales through an AI-powered agent developed by Israeli startup eSelf AI.

The AI agent, designed to provide instant, detailed information and virtual tours, has significantly enhanced customer experience and operational efficiency.

"We have more than 5,000 properties in our portfolio, and no human agent can know everything about all of them," said João Cília, CEO of Porta da Frente Christie’s. "But the AI agent does. Clients receive a faster, more accurate service than they would with a traditional consultant."

Interactive AI assistance

eSelf AI’s proprietary technology integrates large language models with an interactive visual interface, creating a fully immersive experience for potential buyers. Talking to Fox Business, CEO and co-founder Alan Bekker described the platform’s capabilities as a game-changer, stating that it makes property information as accessible as movies did for books.

Unlike conventional chatbots, eSelf AI’s virtual agents go beyond text responses. They provide real-time answers, share images and videos, and offer tailored property suggestions based on buyer preferences. Customers start by providing details such as location, budget, and required features, after which the AI swiftly curates the best listings.

This has proven especially beneficial for international clients, particularly from the United States and Brazil, who often face a five-hour time difference with Portugal. With AI handling inquiries around the clock, buyers receive instant responses without the limitations of human working hours.

Future of real estate

As AI-driven solutions continue to evolve, the real estate sector is poised for a seismic shift. Cília believes that AI agents will increasingly reduce the need for traditional sales consultants, making transactions more cost-effective. "If we scale this technology further, it could significantly lower operational expenses and transform how properties are sold," he said.

With AI’s ability to streamline customer interactions, filter listings, and offer detailed insights instantly, the industry is witnessing the dawn of a new era – one where digital agents might soon become the norm rather than the exception.
