Dubai: In a milestone agreement commemorating Columbia Pictures' centennial legacy, VOX Cinemas has successfully obtained the exclusive rights to exhibit one of cinema's most iconic franchises, Spider-Man.
As part of the grand festivities marking the major film producer's 100th anniversary, all eight live-action movies from the Spider-Man series are now gracing screens across VOX Cinemas venues in the UAE.
Commencing on May 11th with the premiere of the original Spider-Man film, subsequent installments are slated for weekly release, following the chronological order of their initial debut. This cinematic journey culminates with Spider-Man: No Way Home, scheduled for screening on June 29th, as part of the meticulously planned "Spider-Man Saturdays" program.
Since its inception, the Spider-Man franchise has garnered widespread acclaim, captivating audiences spanning film aficionados and comic book enthusiasts alike. The trilogy starring Tobey Maguire, encompassing Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Spider-Man 3 (2007), laid the foundation for the enduring popularity and cultural significance of the series.
Andrew Garfield assumed the titular role in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), perpetuating the legacy of the web-slinger on the silver screen.
