Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024 is set to launch with a splash as the highly anticipated Dubai Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) event returns for its second edition on Saturday, 2 November 2024 at the stunning Hatta Dam.
This year’s event, presented by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), brings exciting new features, including free kayaking sessions, adding an extra layer of adventure to the fitness challenge.
What’s new at Dubai SUP 2024?
For the first time, registered participants of the 2024 edition of Dubai SUP can enjoy a one-hour free kayaking session in addition to the regular SUP activities. The kayaking sessions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with single kayaks open to participants aged 17 and above. Doubles are available for younger paddlers (under 17), provided they are accompanied by an adult.
This expansion caters to both beginners and seasoned water-sport enthusiasts, ensuring that everyone enjoys an exhilarating day on the water.
Paddle your way to fitness
Building on the success of last year’s event, which saw over 1,000 participants, Dubai SUP 2024 offers 45-minute SUP sessions for adults and 30-minute sessions for kids and teens, making it an inclusive event for all age groups and skill levels.
Led by certified instructors, the sessions will combine fitness, skill-building, and community spirit in the serene setting of Hatta's mountains and crystal-clear waters.
Participants can also register their kids for dedicated training sessions, where young paddlers will be able to develop their SUP skills in a safe, supervised environment, complete with certificates of achievement.
Free Sunset Yoga and Mass Participation Challenge
To wrap up the day, a 45-minute Sunset Yoga session will take place on the water, providing a unique opportunity for paddlers to unwind, stretch, and reflect against the backdrop of the Hatta mountains. This will be guided by professional instructors, creating a peaceful, holistic end to the fitness-packed day.
The event will also feature a mass participation challenge, encouraging teams to collaborate and show their fitness, strength, and spirit.
Dubai SUP 2024 is designed to be a family-friendly experience with plenty of activities to keep participants and spectators entertained. Free shuttle buses from Dubai World Trade Centre to Hatta Dam ensure easy access for all attendees, while SUP boards and kayaks will be provided, so all you need to bring is enthusiasm.
If you’re looking for more than just water-based fun, exclusive discounts on Hatta’s other outdoor attractions – including archery, wall climbing, and the Hatta Aerial Adventure Park – will be available for registered participants. These activities will run until late, with food trucks on-site to keep energy levels high throughout the day.
