DUBAI: Emirates has introduced an elegant new uniform for its Premium & VIP Passenger Services team, showcasing the airline’s commitment to style and sophistication.
Designed in-house by the Emirates uniform standards team, the attire reflects the grandeur of Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the high standards of the elite unit tasked with ensuring smooth transit for VIP travellers.
The uniforms feature three distinct styles tailored to the diverse needs of the team: a chic A-line skirt suit, a polished pant suit for ladies, and a perfectly tailored three-piece suit for gentlemen. All designs maintain Emirates’ iconic warm sand tone, symbolising the UAE’s desert dunes, with red accents representing the brand’s signature identity.
The uniform includes practical yet stylish elements such as a red pleat in the skirt for ease of movement and matching red leather accessories, adding both function and flair.

Representing over 50 nationalities, the team speaks multiple languages, ensuring seamless communication with the diverse clientele they serve. In 2024 alone, the team facilitated the travel of more than 150,000 Premium and VIP passengers, underscoring their integral role in Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for luxury travel.
The team caters to a variety of distinguished passengers, including members of royalty, heads of state, celebrities, and influencers. With Dubai hosting a calendar of high-profile events such as the Formula 1, Dubai Film Festival, and the World Government Summit, the VIP team prepares extensively to handle increased demand during these periods.
Tailored operations
The operational structure of Emirates’ Premium & VIP Passenger Services is finely tuned to meet the unique demands of its clientele. Divided into two core groups, the team focuses on managing Premium First Class passengers and VIPs.
For First Class passengers, services include expedited security checks, personalised greetings, and luxury transfers, ensuring a seamless transit experience. Meanwhile, the VIP team oversees every aspect of the traveller’s journey, from airport pick-ups and check-ins to lounge access and departure formalities. Privacy and security are paramount, and the team works discreetly to deliver a hassle-free experience.
Precision and professionalism
A day in the life of a Premium & VIP Passenger Ambassador begins at the Control Centre with detailed briefings outlining the day’s operations. From managing tight connection schedules to accommodating last-minute changes, the team’s ability to think critically and act swiftly is essential to their success.
Equipped with iPads and essential documents, Ambassadors navigate the vast Dubai International Airport with precision, ensuring every traveller receives top-tier service. The use of luxury vehicles like Mercedes Vianos and airport buggies adds to the seamless experience, particularly for time-sensitive connections.
Prepared for every occasion
Beyond day-to-day operations, the team also gears up for global events that bring an influx of VIP travellers. Whether it’s preparing for the World Sports Events, the G20 Summit, or the World Sustainable Development Summit, meticulous planning ensures smooth operations.
By the end of their shift, the team compiles operational reports and updates, laying the groundwork for the next shift. This commitment to continuity and excellence is what makes Emirates’ Premium & VIP Passenger Services a benchmark in the aviation industry.
Emirates’ Premium & VIP Passenger Services are complimentary, offered to First Class passengers and selected VIPs at the discretion of the airline’s management team.
