Dubai-based carrier flydubai has unveiled a brand-new Business Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport (DXB), Terminal 2, marking another significant milestone as the airline celebrates 15 years of operations.
Spanning an impressive 900 square metres, the modern facility can comfortably accommodate over 200 passengers, reflecting flydubai’s ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experiences on the ground.
The exclusive lounge is strategically located after passport control and security lanes, offering Business Class passengers unmatched convenience with an integrated boarding gate and direct access to dedicated Business Class buses.

The grand opening, held earlier today, was attended by prominent officials including Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, Major-General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director-General of GDRFA, Major-General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, General Director Assistant of the GDRFA, and Jamal Al-Hai, Deputy CEO at Dubai Airports. Media personnel and key stakeholders also joined the event to witness this milestone moment.
Hamad Obaidalla stated, “This year, flydubai celebrates a milestone marking 15 years of operations. We remain committed to evolving and enhancing customer experiences both in the air and on the ground. The new lounge will offer an enjoyable and seamless travel experience for Business Class passengers departing from Terminal 2.”
Modern design meets functionality
The newly designed space draws inspiration from Dubai’s desert dunes, combining warm tones and minimalist aesthetics to create an inviting environment for relaxation and productivity. A glass façade floods the lounge with natural light, while tarmac views add to its serene atmosphere.
Passengers can take advantage of a variety of seating zones tailored for diverse needs, including dining areas, lounging spaces, and quiet corners for unwinding before flights.

- Shower facilities for refreshed travel
- A peaceful prayer room
- Complimentary Wi-Fi, workstations, and ample charging stations

Exclusive benefits for passengers
The new lounge is part of a broader initiative to elevate services for Business Class flyers. Emirates Skywards members, depending on their tier, can also enjoy select benefits at the facility.
Adding to its suite of passenger-centric features, flydubai opened a dedicated Business Class check-in area at Terminal 2 earlier in October. This bespoke check-in zone features seated check-ins, personalised Meet and Assist services, and Fast Track lanes for a quicker, smoother experience through security and passport control.
