The tournament, dubbed the 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC), will showcase some of the world's best players competing for a massive prize pool of $3 million, one of the biggest in the game's history. This includes an additional $800,000 distributed during qualifier rounds.
Eight-week extravaganza
The Esports World Cup kicked off on July 4th and runs until August 25th, 2024, establishing itself as the world's largest esports and gaming festival. This eight-week extravaganza features various gaming tournaments, events, activities, and more. The PMWC, taking place from July 19th to 28th, is a key part of these festivities.
Clout and star power
The PMWC will see 28 teams battle it out, including Powr Esports, a prominent esports organization influential in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. Powr Esports boasts a unique in-game Powr Villa in WOW mode, and one of their top creators, Shongxbong, recently had his voice pack included in the game. Their team also features AlHage, a highly skilled Arab player ranked among the best PUBG MOBILE players globally.

The PMWC unfolds across three key stages:
