DUBAI: Arjaan by Rotana, in partnership with JoinMe-Empower Her, celebrated Women’s Day with ‘The Giving Iftar,’ a heartfelt gathering that fused empowerment with generosity.
Organised in collaboration with Thukhr Al Watan Charity Organisation, the event brought together 25 accomplished women from the community to share an inspiring evening with 50 orphans and their supporters, including children with special needs.
Part of Rotana Hotels’ ongoing social responsibility efforts, the event reflected the spirit of Ramadan by fostering inclusivity and compassion.
‘The Giving Iftar’
More than just a meal, ‘The Giving Iftar’ served as a platform for connection, mentorship, and encouragement. The attending women, each a role model in her own right, engaged with the children, offering support and inspiration, ensuring that every child felt valued and seen.
Timur Ilgaz, Area VP of Rotana Hotels in Dubai & Northern Emirates and Cluster General Manager of Arjaan by Rotana Dubai, Centro Barsha, and Damac Hills 2 Edge by Rotana, expressed his pride in hosting such an event. “The Giving Iftar represents the spirit of Ramadan and the values of community, unity, and compassion. It’s a chance for us to give back and make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most,” he said.
Impact and Inclusivity
Throughout the evening, the focus remained on creating a warm and welcoming space where genuine bonds could be formed. Children and their supporters were able to engage with female leaders across various fields, reinforcing the message that they, too, have the potential to shape their futures.
The collaboration with Thukhr Al Watan Charity Organisation underscored the commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities. By integrating acts of kindness and generosity into corporate social responsibility, Rotana Hotels continues to build a culture of support that extends beyond its hospitality services.
