The American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Alliance Française Sharjah have inked a transformative agreement to expand French language education, promote cultural exchange, and prepare students for an interconnected world.
The collaboration promises a rich array of workshops, cultural events, and French certifications, enriching AUS's already diverse linguistic offerings.
Key figures attending the signing ceremony included Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chancellor Dr. Tod Laursen of AUS, and notable representatives from French cultural institutions such as Stephanie Salha of Institut Français UAE and Audrey Leseigneur of Alliance Française Sharjah. The event was presided over by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, further highlighting the significance of this cultural milestone.
The partnership, spearheaded by the AUS College of Arts and Sciences, brings with it an emphasis on academic collaboration and cross-cultural engagement. It provides students and faculty access to Alliance Française’s expertise while utilising AUS's state-of-the-art facilities.
Founded in 1997, AUS stands as a beacon of academic excellence in the Gulf region, championing values of openness, tolerance, and respect. The partnership with Alliance Française Sharjah is yet another chapter in its mission to cultivate leaders equipped for the 21st century.
