DUBAI: For just two days this weekend, Disney Plus is bringing its global magic to the sands of the Emirates.
From 4pm to 9pm on 19th and 20th April, Dubai’s Kite Beach will host a first-of-its-kind Disney Plus pop-up event, offering immersive moments, free giveaways, and themed smoothie creations – all inspired by the streaming platform’s biggest hits.
The pop-up marks a unique summer celebration, inviting fans and beachgoers alike to step into a Disney Plus experience that goes beyond the screen.
From jaw-dropping photo opportunities to character-driven activities and a smoothie bar like no other, the event promises something for every age and every fan.
Streaming meets sips
At the heart of the activation is the Disney+ Smoothie Station, where custom-crafted beverages bring beloved characters and series to life. The limited-time menu showcases five distinctive smoothies, all visually striking and crafted to reflect the essence of iconic Disney+ shows.
The Daredevil Smoothie channels superhero energy with a bold red berry base, layered with red beet chia pudding, and topped with fruit strawberry sorbet, blueberry tapioca pearls, and dried black citrus.
For fans of medical drama, the Grey’s Anatomy Smoothie features a vibrant blue spirulina blend with banana, topped with creamy coconut sorbet, banana slices, and a syringe filled with sticky red berry coulis – true to the show’s hospital roots.
The Kardashians Smoothie offers glamour in a glass with a glittery charcoal lemonade base, finished with coconut sorbet and crowned by black mini cones.
Meanwhile, the Mufasa Smoothie, inspired by Mufasa: The Lion King, presents a tropical fusion of avocado and banana, layered under mango fruit sorbet, sliced star fruit, pineapple chips, golden turmeric crumble, dragon fruit wedge, and fresh green leaves.
Rounding off the line-up is the Simpsons Smoothie – a mango blend topped with passion fruit coulis, a signature pink donut, and colourful rainbow sprinkles, capturing the playful spirit of the animated classic.
Photo fun & giveaways
Beyond the flavours, the Disney+ experience is packed with engaging activities and interactive moments. At the Character Corner, visitors can unlock exclusive Disney Plus giveaways tailored to their streaming tastes by discovering their “main character energy.” Based on user input, the experience offers recommendations, merchandise, and fun insights into personal viewing styles.
Visitors can also step into iconic scenes and recreate memorable quotes from their favourite shows and films. From dramatic poses to comic timing, these themed installations offer the perfect backdrop for selfies, reels, and share-worthy snaps.
