DUBAI: Residents woke up to light showers across various parts of the UAE today, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicting more scattered rainfall throughout the day.
Areas including Falaj Hazza, Al Ain, Tawiyah in Fujairah, and Hamim Al Dhafra recorded early morning showers.
The mercury is set to drop slightly, with interior regions seeing temperatures between 21°C and 36°C. Coastal areas and islands will experience highs between 25°C and 29°C, while the mountain regions will be cooler, ranging from 18°C to 22°C.
Humidity and winds
As night approaches, humidity levels are expected to rise, increasing the likelihood of mist formation in internal areas by early Thursday. Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h, blowing from the northeast to northwest.
Rough seas warning
For those heading to the beach, caution is advised. The Arabian Gulf will see rough seas in the west during the morning, though conditions will ease to moderate or slight later in the day. The Oman Sea will remain calm throughout.
Dubai Municipality on alert
Dubai Municipality has announced its teams are on high alert to manage rain-related incidents. Residents can report water accumulation via the Dubai Municipality App, WhatsApp, or by calling 800900.
Earlier, Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) issued safety advisories, urging caution on wet roads and in low-visibility conditions.
