Abu Dhabi’s Yas Waterworld is set to elevate its adrenaline-filled experience with the highest water slide in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The announcement of this record-breaking attraction comes as part of a major expansion by Miral, Abu Dhabi’s premier developer of immersive destinations. With over 55 percent of the project complete, the new attractions will debut in 2025.
What to expect in 2025
The 16,900-square-metre expansion will feature 18 new rides and 3.3 kilometres of slides, increasing guest capacity by 20 percent. Among the new attractions is the world’s first water-based amusement ride integrated into a waterslide complex, which includes a 15-metre drop. The waterpark will boast over 70 rides and experiences in total.
‘The Legend of the Lost Village’
Yas Waterworld will also introduce "The Legend of the Lost Village," a new storyline filled with hidden treasures and secret passages. For younger visitors, scaled-down versions of iconic rides like "Dawwama Junior" and "Sebag" will offer fun for all ages. The expansion also includes eight new pools and more food and beverage options.
When to expect the new attractions
With construction on track, the new attractions are expected to be unveiled in 2025. The expansion will add new features like a swim-up bar, boat rides, racing slides, and family raft rides, offering something for everyone.
The future of Yas Waterworld
Since opening in 2013, Yas Waterworld has earned over 65 industry awards. With the UAE’s highest slide and new attractions set to open, Yas Waterworld is ready to offer unforgettable experiences in 2025, cementing its position as a must-visit destination in Abu Dhabi.
