Dubai, UAE (March 2024): The government of the United Arab Emirates has introduced a 90-day extension to the validity of visit visas. According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security of the United Arab Emirates, the renewal could be done using the smart app UAEICP. Travellers heading to the UAE with a visit visa for relatives or friends, valid for 30, 60 or 90 days, can now extend it for 30 days at just AED 750.
Visitors must be in the UAE at the time of application to qualify for the extension. Additionally, according to a report in Gulf News, their passport must be valid for at least six months. Other documents required for a UAE visa extension include the original entry permit and a personal coloured photo that meets approved standards.
The visa can be extended using the UAEICP app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, Apple Store, and Huwaei Store.
According to the report sourcing ICP, the visa fee of AED 750 includes the following costs:
AED 500: Issuance fees
AED 100: Application fees
AED 100: Mart services fees
AED 50: Insurance and IA fees
Incomplete documents or missing data will result in electronic rejection after 30 days. After three rejections, the application will be permanently dismissed.
Based on the report, in the event of an application denial, only the issuance fees and any financial guarantees provided will be reimbursed. The refund will be processed within six months of the application date and credited back to the original payment method, typically a credit card. Alternatively, a cheque or bank transfer can be arranged if the applicant has a local bank account, with a maximum processing time of five years.
