In the heart of Dubai, two Malawian brothers, Imran and Mahomed Karim, are leading a humanitarian mission like no other.

What began as a simple act of kindness in 2015 – handing out meals to construction workers – has grown into a movement that has provided over eight million meals to date.

Their initiative, Happy Happy UAE, is redefining generosity on an unprecedented scale.

Feeding 33,000 every day

This Ramadan, Happy Happy UAE is distributing over 33,000 free iftar meals daily at 20 locations across the UAE. From modest beginnings of 10,000 meals per day during their first Ramadan, their outreach has tripled – showcasing the unstoppable momentum of their mission.

For at least three hours each day, the Karim brothers personally oversee meal distributions, ensuring that thousands of blue-collar workers receive a hot meal. “During Ramadan, the need for support grows, and so does our commitment. This year, we are reaching over 30,000 people every day,” says Imran Karim.

The vision for 2025 is even greater: to provide a staggering two million meals. This ambitious goal is backed by a growing network of volunteers and corporate partners who share their passion for giving back.

Kindness beyond Ramadan

Happy Happy UAE operates 365 days a year, proving that generosity should never be seasonal. Every single day, thousands of workers benefit from their initiative, reinforcing the belief that consistent giving creates lasting change. “We serve meals 365 days a year because kindness should have no limits,” says Mahomed Karim.

Unlike one-time charity drives, their work is a continuous effort to uplift communities, ensuring that no one is forgotten. As the initiative expands, their message of care and compassion spreads further across Dubai and beyond.

The rapid growth of Happy Happy UAE is made possible by a strong support system of volunteers and corporate partners. Brands like Noon, Unikai, and other local businesses have stepped in to provide food, logistics, and resources, amplifying the initiative’s impact.

Their collaboration with the Model Service Society is a prime example of how strategic partnerships can create meaningful change. With a shared commitment to social good, these alliances ensure that Happy Happy UAE can meet its goal of two million meals in 2025.
