Sharjah: Shurooq (Sharjah Investment and Development Authority) launched a series of projects, including Ajwan Khorfakkan, Maryam Island, and Sharjah Sustainable City, all aimed at redefining luxury living and sustainable development.
Ajwan Khorfakkan: A luxury destination
Set in the picturesque coastal city of Khorfakkan, Ajwan Khorfakkan is a luxurious residential development offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Oman and the Hajar Mountains.
The project features a mix of residential, retail, hospitality, and entertainment spaces, making it an attractive investment for those seeking premium holiday homes or weekend getaways.
Ajwan's first phase includes 79 residential units, with prices starting from AED 1,899,000 for two-bedroom apartments and reaching up to AED 4,199,000 for spacious four-bedroom duplexes.
The development's standout features include a first-of-its-kind waterpark in the eastern UAE, along with proximity to Khorfakkan’s popular tourist attractions, such as the waterfall and amphitheater.
H.E. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, expressed enthusiasm for the growing interest in Ajwan, noting its unique location and thoughtful design contribute to its appeal as a peaceful, wellness-focused environment.
Maryam Island
A large waterfront development project, Maryam Island, covers over 3.3 million square feet, which will include 20 residential buildings with more than 3,500 homes. The project promises breathtaking views of Al Mamzar Beach and Al Khan Lagoon and is set for completion by 2026.
Sharjah Sustainable City
Another significant initiative is Sharjah Sustainable City, the first eco-friendly master-planned community in Sharjah, developed in collaboration with Diamond Developers. Such was the interest of the investors that nearly all villas sold and over AED 2.5 billion in sales across its four phases. The final phase is scheduled for completion by 2025.
