DUBAI: The Gulf Bar Show (GBS) is set to make history as the first-ever dedicated bar and beverage trade show in the MENA region.
This inaugural event will be held on April 7th and 8th at the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, marking the beginning of an annual tradition aimed at propelling the Gulf region to the forefront of the global beverage scene.

Visionaries behind the event
Co-Founder Hugo Goncalves describes The Gulf Bar Show as a platform for collaboration, designed to highlight the region’s burgeoning bar culture. "Our goal is to celebrate the creativity and innovation shaping the future of the bar scene in the Gulf," said Goncalves. His sentiments are echoed by fellow Co-Founder Sebouh Tato, who has spent decades building a legacy within the industry. Spanning over 4,500 square metres, the event will be divided into several themed areas, each catering to a specific facet of the bar and beverage world. The Main Hall will be dedicated to Tech & Liquor, showcasing the latest in bar technology and beverage innovations. Meanwhile, the MENA Heritage Hall will offer a deep dive into regional flavours, participants, and products, celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the Gulf.

The Terrace area will feature a Cigar Lounge, and spaces like Les Aperitifs and Cold Sober will focus on the growing demand for zero-proof and low-alcohol drinks. Sustainability will also take centre stage, with Planet-Loving/Wellness spaces highlighting eco-conscious innovations and mindful consumption practices. The event will encourage both industry professionals and attendees to explore new horizons in beverage trends, while promoting responsible consumption through dedicated seminars on zero-proof options and low-ABV drinks.

In line with the UAE's environmental goals, The Gulf Bar Show is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. The event will offer 'Green Tickets' to support local reforestation efforts, and proposed collaborations with initiatives like the UAE’s ‘Green Sheikh’ will work toward planting mangrove trees to offset the event's environmental impact.
