DUBAI: The highly anticipated Pakistan vs India clash in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just around the corner, and Dubai Cricket Stadium has rolled out a strict set of spectator rules to ensure smooth proceedings.

With over 25,000 fans expected to fill the stands, authorities have introduced stringent regulations covering entry, prohibited items, and fan conduct.

Entry restrictions

Spectators must present valid match tickets and government-issued identification at entry points. Security checks will be thorough, with multiple layers of screening, including metal detectors and baggage inspections.

Officials have warned that anyone found violating these guidelines may be denied entry or removed from the premises.

Political slogans and banners banned

The Dubai Cricket Council has reinforced its stance against political messaging inside the stadium. Large signs placed at ticket counters and parking areas remind fans: “Cricket unites—leave political slogans, posters, and banners at home.”

Any attempt to bring or display politically motivated content could lead to confiscation of items and possible ejection from the venue.

Prohibited items list

Dubai Cricket Stadium has issued a comprehensive list of banned items to ensure a safe environment. Fans are not allowed to bring:

  • Weapons, knives, explosives, or flammable materials
  • Glass bottles, cans, or any outside food and beverages
  • Alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances
  • Laser pointers, whistles, or horns
  • Large flags, banners, or signs obstructing the view of others
  • Professional cameras, tripods, or recording devices

Food and beverage policy

As per stadium policy, food and drinks from outside are not permitted. Fans can purchase refreshments from designated stalls within the venue. However, exceptions are made for parents with infants, who are allowed to bring essential baby food and milk.

No pets allowed

Fans hoping to bring their furry companions will be disappointed, as animals are strictly prohibited inside the stadium. “Managing 25,000 passionate fans is challenging enough; let’s not add pets to the mix,” an official humorously remarked.

Photography and recording restrictions

To protect broadcast rights and avoid disruptions, the use of flash photography and video recording during the match is strictly prohibited. Security personnel have been instructed to monitor compliance, and any violation may result in removal from the stadium.

Transport and parking regulations

With the influx of cricket enthusiasts, traffic congestion around the stadium is expected. Authorities encourage spectators to use public transport, ride-sharing services, or shuttle buses from designated parking areas.

  • Parking: Limited on-site parking is available, and fans are advised to arrive early.
  • Alternative Transport: Metro and shuttle services will be operational to ease traffic flow.
  • Prohibited Vehicles: Bicycles, skateboards, and e-scooters are not allowed inside the venue.

Ticket fraud warning

Officials have issued warnings against counterfeit tickets being sold online. Spectators are advised to purchase tickets only through official ICC platforms to avoid scams. Entry will be strictly monitored, and those with invalid tickets will be denied access.

Security measures

Given the intensity of the rivalry, a high-alert security plan has been put in place. Over 500 security personnel will be deployed within and around the stadium. Additional surveillance, drone monitoring, and crowd control measures have been introduced to ensure a secure environment.

Dubai Police has urged fans to cooperate with authorities and adhere to stadium regulations to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
