DUBAI: Porsche Centre Dubai and Northern Emirates, Al Nabooda Automobiles, hosted an unforgettable two-day festival at the Dubai Autodrome for Round Three of the 2024/25 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.

Blending adrenaline-pumping motorsport with art, music, and family-friendly activities, the event drew Porsche enthusiasts, families, and motorsport fans alike.

Celebrating 16 years of Porsche racing in the region, the event marked the second year of the Middle East series as part of the global Porsche Carrera Cup – a prestigious one-make racing championship held across 12 locations worldwide.

Fun for families

The festival was more than just about racing. Families enjoyed a mix of attractions, from gourmet food trucks offering everything from burgers to fresh juices, to engaging activities like the Sim racing zone and a trampoline mini racing challenge for children. Winners walked away with exciting mini prizes, adding a competitive spirit to the off-track entertainment.

Adding an artistic flair, the Art Zone featured the 911 Art Hood Studio, where visitors created unique designs on iconic Porsche hood shapes. Calligraffiti with the Macan BEV combined tradition and innovation, further enchanting guests. A resident DJ kept the energy high as visitors explored the Porsche Art Box, showcasing historic Porsche posters and inspiring creativity.

First-ever night race

Saturday night brought a historic moment as the Porsche Carrera Cup held its first-ever night race at the Dubai Autodrome. German prodigy, 17-year-old Janne Stiak, continued his dominance by clinching victory in Race One, finishing 3.7 seconds ahead of Briton James Wallis and Angus Whiteside in third.

Sunday’s daylight Race Two saw a repeat performance by Stiak, securing another victory with a 5.9-second lead over Wallis. Whiteside again completed the podium in third place.

Saudi Racing teammates Saud Al Saud and Khaled Alahmadi triumphed in the Pro-AM and GCC categories, highlighting the regional talent at play.

Porsche legacy

The GTS Gallery was another highlight, offering visitors a closer look at models like the 911 GTS, Cayenne, Panamera, and Cayman GTS. Attendees were invited to register for test drives, bridging the gap between spectatorship and ownership dreams.
