DUBAI: The Pakistan Business Council Sharjah (PBCS) convened a focused internal meeting this week at Digital Vision, gathering its directors for a comprehensive review of recent operations and strategic progress.
Spearheaded by Chairman Dr SM Tahir, the session marked a renewed commitment among directors to strengthen the council’s impact and ensure streamlined performance moving forward.
The atmosphere was collaborative, with participants expressing clear intent to address key organisational matters efficiently.
Leadership in focus
Dr SM Tahir led the discussions with full support from all directors, who displayed a shared enthusiasm for revitalising the council’s approach. A significant outcome of the meeting was the collective agreement to conduct regular physical meetings during the first week of every month. This initiative aims to boost cohesion, improve transparency, and facilitate more prompt decision-making across the board.
Host and highlights
Syed Saleem Akhtar, First Vice Chairman, was thanked for graciously hosting the meeting, which concluded with several positive resolutions. Directors from various committees provided updates and reaffirmed their dedication to the council’s goals. These included Salman Wasil, Honorary Secretary; Amir Hassan, Second Vice Chairman; and Khalid Chudhary from the Advisory Board, among others.
Next meeting scheduled
Membership Committee Director, Haji Mohammed Yaseen, extended an invitation to all members for the next PBCS meeting, to be held at Al Nawab restaurant in Sharjah. As the session drew to a close, attendees offered a heartfelt prayer in memory of the late mother of Safdar Rashid, Director Coordination.
Notable participants also included Mian Umar Ibrahim (Executive Committee), Muhammad Farooq (Finance Committee), Zaheer Ahmad (Event Committee), Khawar Hussain (Media Committee), and Suhail Khawar (Executive Member).
