UAE's trade and services sector drives surge in foreign business registrations

India continues to be the top source of new businesses joining Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 2024, with 12,142 new companies registered between January and September.

The impressive growth showcases Dubai’s robust appeal to Indian entrepreneurs and investors.

With its thriving economy and strategic location, Dubai has solidified its status as a hub for international business ventures.

Pakistan follows strongly

Not far behind, Pakistan has secured second place with 6,061 new member companies in the same period. This indicates a growing interest from Pakistani investors seeking opportunities in the UAE, adding to the region's dynamic business environment.

The strong participation of both the South Asian countries highlights the enduring economic ties between India, Pakistan, and the UAE.

India, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, and the UK lead the surge in new business registrations at Dubai Chamber in 2024, highlighting Dubai’s global appeal.

Who else is on the list?

Egypt, Syria, and the UK round out the top five countries contributing to new chamber members, with 3,611, 2,062, and 1,886 companies respectively. Bangladesh, Iraq, and China also showed significant growth, underscoring Dubai’s role as a global business connector.

Sector breakdown

Trade and services lead the way in the distribution of new members, accounting for 41.5% of the total. The real estate, renting, and business services sector closely follows with 33.3%, while construction companies made up 10.4%. Sectors like transport, storage, and communications also contributed to the growth, along with social and personal services.

Dubai Chamber's expanding membership reflects the city's ongoing transformation into a thriving, multinational business hub, where investors from across the globe are keen to establish a foothold in one of the world’s most vibrant economies.
