MUSCAT: Oman’s sporting calendar is about to make a big splash!

Jumeirah Muscat Bay, renowned for its luxury and wellness offerings, is set to host Omswim 3.2, the first open-water competition in the Sultanate featuring the Olympic 10km marathon distance.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Gulf of Oman and Al Hajar Mountain Range, this two-day event will run from January 10-11, 2025 and promises an unforgettable experience for amateur and seasoned swimmers from across the globe.

Organised in partnership with Middle East Global Events (MGE), Omswim 3.2 will offer race categories of 1.5km, 2.5km, 5km, and the Olympic 10km marathon, marking a first in Oman’s open-water competitions. The event will unfold along the sparkling coastline of Jumeirah Muscat Bay, giving participants the chance to compete in one of the region’s most scenic coastal environments.

Jumeirah Muscat Bay is also rolling out exclusive accommodation and dining packages, designed for athletes and their families to enjoy the full luxury of the resort.

On-water safety will be prioritised with kayak support and a dedicated safety team.
