RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has declared February 14, 2025, as the final date for Hajj affairs offices worldwide to complete contracts for the upcoming 1446 AH Hajj season.

These agreements, crucial for services such as accommodation, transportation, and logistics, must be executed through the Nusuk Masar platform, the designated digital system for international Hajj pilgrims.

The ministry introduced an eight-phase timeline for tasks assigned to Hajj offices, with the contracting phase starting on October 23, 2024. Officials have underscored the significance of adhering to this timeline, as no contracts will be accepted after the February 14 deadline. The streamlined process is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of pilgrim services and maintain operational efficiency.

Compliance and safety

The ministry has also highlighted the importance of compliance with Saudi regulations covering air and ground transportation, health and safety protocols, and procedural requirements. Agreements between the ministry and Hajj offices specify these details, ensuring smooth coordination across participating countries.

Final quotas for pilgrims from each nation will be confirmed following the contract deadline. Immediately afterwards, the visa issuance process will commence, with Hajj offices urged to educate pilgrims on compliance with official regulations.

Nusuk Card for identification

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has emphasised that pilgrims must secure visas and permits exclusively through authorised channels. Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims are required to carry proper identification documents, such as the Nusuk Card, to facilitate their journey and adhere to local guidelines.
