UAE: Mustang GT3 captured third place at the demanding 24 Hours of Le Mans, demonstrating its enduring legacy and competitive spirit in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Team performance and endurance

All three Mustang GT3s completed the grueling race at Circuit de la Sarthe, with the No. 88 driven by Dennis Olsen, Giorgio Roda, and Mikkel O. Pedersen securing a notable third place in the LMGT3 category, while the No. 44 driven by Christopher Mies, John Hartshorne, and Ben Tuck secured fourth place.

Despite initial challenges, the No. 88 Mustang GT3 showcased resilience and strategic prowess throughout the race. Dennis Olsen’s impressive climb from 13th to fourth position within the first hour set the tone for a competitive performance, with strategic pit stops helping maintain a top-five position and ultimately securing a podium finish.

Fastest lap and qualifying feat

Despite challenges faced by the No. 77 Mustang GT3 team, including early setbacks during the race, driver Ben Barker achieved the fastest qualifying lap on Thursday, marking a significant achievement for Mustang GT3 in its 2024 WEC campaign.
