Riyadh:  The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new regulation according to which travelers entering Saudi Arabia must now declare any valuables surpassing SR 60,000 upon arrival. The term valuable includes foreign currency, expensive jewelry, and electronic gadgets.

These measures, as mentioned by the ministry, have been taken to protect the safety of the visitors and the security of the Kingdom.

Plus, let's not forget the importance of accountability. By playing by the rules and declaring your treasures, you're not just ensuring a hassle-free experience for yourself but also contributing to the collective safety of all travelers - a one-for-all approach.

Asset declaration details

To make the process of asset declaration hassle-free a dedicated team of customs officials will guide the travelers through the declaration process.

The travelers would be required to fill out a customs declaration form upon both arrival and departure. To make things even smoother, special assistance has been arranged to help pilgrims navigate the paperwork maze with ease.

The purpose behind asset declaration regulation is to tackle thorny issues like money laundering and theft, which sadly rear their ugly heads all too often.

So, pilgrims: Declare your treasures, follow the rules, and embark on your spiritual journey with peace of mind.

In a journey of faith, every step counts, starting right here at the airport gate.
